Group Biography...

Formed in 2003, this anointed group consists of Pamela Scott Atcheson, Joey Saxton, Debbie and David Mitchell. Pam sings alto and writes most of the songs for Enlisted. Pam sang backup with Cristy Lane for several years and also worked in many different studios in Nashville recording demos for various song writers. As a young girl, she also sang fulltime with her dad, Joe Scott and The Gospel Travelers. Joey Saxton is Pam’s son. Joey has only been singing for six years, but it didn’t take long for people to notice that he is a natural talent and has singing in his blood. Joey quickly wins people over with his strong lead voice, enthusiasm and winning smile. Joey is also a talented song writer having penned, “When Jesus Passes By”. David & Debbie Mitchell, formerly of Mercy Road, Dallas, Georgia, joined Enlisted in January, 2009. After a series of events occurred among both groups, the members felt that God was leading them to merge the groups together. After much prayer and direction, David and Debbie made the decision to dissolve Mercy Road and join Enlisted. David and Debbie have truly been an asset to Enlisted with their strong awesome vocals. They have been accepted among Enlisted’s loyal followers with open arms. With Debbie singing soprano and David’s fourth harmony part, Enlisted has developed a sound that has become one of the most full and unique sounds in the industry today. People that have followed Enlisted from the beginning have stated that the current sound is the best yet. But the greatest compliment that Enlisted could ever receive is when people say “the anointing is evident when you sing and Jesus Christ is truly glorified”. Enlisted’s prayer and mission is to witness and minister to as any people as possible and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in song.

David Mitchell...

David Mitchell joined “Enlisted” in January 2009 with his wife Debbie. David & Debbie were part of the gospel group Mercy Road that they co-founded in 2003. In November of 2008, Mercy Road lost their alto singer about the same time that Enlisted lost their Soprano singer, so after much prayer and leadership from God, Mercy Road was disbanded and David & Debbie joined Enlisted to travel with Pam and Joey. David has been singing gospel music for over 38 years in Quartet’s and Trio’s and has been blessed to travel with some of the greatest people in gospel music. He traveled fulltime driving for Brian Free & Assurance in the mid 90’s and also Gold City Quartet back in the 80’s. He was blessed to play bass guitar with pianist, Mark Fuller, for the television dates for the legionary Eve Mae LeFevre and the great Jimmy Jones. David was a staff musician along with

Mark Fuller at Central Baptist Church in Marietta, GA until the scheduling of Mercy Road and now Enlisted, keeps them on the road most weekends.

David has written several gospel songs with the most notable being “Mercy At The Cross” that was inspired after viewing the “Passion of the Christ” with his church group. David is married to Debbie, Enlisted’s soprano singer, and they reside in Dallas, GA.
